Marysabel Rodriguez-Nanney
Marysabel Rodriguez-Nanney, a native of Peru, received her undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of California Riverside.
After graduation, Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney relocated to Maryland and received her Juris Doctor degree, from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1997. While in Law School, Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney was a member of the Maryland Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues, a member of the Latino Law Student’s Association and volunteered with the Public Justice Center, Inc.
After graduation, Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney worked for the firm of Jerome T. May PA in Annapolis, Maryland where her practice primarily focused on immigration law and civil litigation. In 1998 she entered private practice and on a daily basis she appears in immigration courts in Maryland and Virginia as well as in state and administrative hearings across the state to litigate criminal and traffic matters for clients.
Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney is an experienced immigration attorney. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 1999 and she handles a variety of cases involving very complex immigration issues. Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney represents individuals in deportation cases, works with employers that wish to bring either skilled or unskilled employees to the United States from abroad and she works with families who want to bring their loved ones to the United States from their home country. Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney’s knowledge of immigration law combined with her criminal defense experience gives her the tools to evaluate the collateral consequences of a case. She possesses the skills that allow her to advise her clients fully not only about their immigration rights but also about how a particular criminal conviction could impact their immigration status in the United States.
Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney is admitted to practice and experienced in both state and federal courts in Maryland. She litigates criminal cases as well as traffic violations all over the State of Maryland. She appears in our courts defending individuals charged with DWI/DUI and a variety of other criminal cases and traffic violations. She is always prepared to aggressively defend her clients rights.
Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney also handles domestic matters such as adoptions, custody disputes and divorce proceedings and understands the intricacies of domestic law.
Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney is a member of the Anne Arundel Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Hispanic Bar Association, Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association and she was recently appointed by Governor O’Malley to serve in the Judicial Nominating Commission for Anne Arundel County. Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney has served in numerous committees and organizations throughout the years and maintains active involvement with the Latino community in the State of Maryland.
